Does the tool perform OCR?
No. It copies existing DjVu text where present. A scan without text remains an image, with no invented transcription.
Can I upload an indirect DjVu index?
No. An indirect index references separate page files. Bundle the complete document with DjVuLibre before using this tool; external resources are never fetched.
Is the PDF searchable?
Supported existing text zones on upright pages become an invisible search layer. Unsupported font glyphs and rotated text are retained in the UTF-8 sidecar instead and reported.
Are bookmarks retained?
Internal bookmarks pointing to selected pages are copied as flat PDF bookmarks. The original bookmark structure is also available as JSON.
Why is a codec rejected?
DjVu.js does not support every DjVu image codec. BGjp, FGjp and Smmr content is rejected explicitly instead of silently producing incomplete pages.
